At New Beginnings, we educate parents on the important roles that both moms and dads play in their family. When men and women understand and appreciate how differently their brains think and work, it makes for a harmonious outcome. Children benefit from this enriching experience! However, if moms and dads don’t understand this, there will be unnecessary discord. Here’s a brief segment from a humorous video by Mark Gungor that we show in one of our programs: The Tale of Two Brains.
New Beginnings offers faith-based loving support to women, men, teens, and families in our community.
All of our services are FREE, including Pregnancy Testing, as well as Educational programs that cover Pregnancy, Parenting, Sexual Integrity, Life Skills, and Bible Lessons. We provide a safe place where you can talk confidentially about your concerns and fears, and to introduce you to the facts about prenatal care, abortion, and adoption.
Parenting Points are earned for each completed lesson. These Points can be spent in our onsite shops where you will find diapers, formula, clothing, toys, furniture, strollers, etc., all of which have been donated by our caring community. We even have maternity clothes.
We also provide referrals to DES (Department of Economic Security), WIC (Women, Infants, and Children), and other community agencies.
We are supported by contributions from our community churches, businesses, and individuals. Also, all monies received by The Nook, a new and resale shop located at 408 W. Main Street in Payson, goes toward supporting New Beginnings.
If you find yourself or someone you know facing a pregnancy, or if you are in need of parenting support or healing from an abortion….don’t forget about New Beginnings. We are here to serve you. Click HERE to find us on Facebook.

We cherish both moms and dads. So do their children. Happy Mother’s Day.
When 18-year old Maddi Runkles discovered she was pregnant, she was scared to death what people would think of her. She wanted to have an abortion, but she was a Christian and decided to keep her baby. She was a straight-A student, president of the student council and a star of the varsity soccer team. But her Christian high school, Heritage Academy in Hagerstown, Maryland, banned her from attending graduation ceremonies with her classmates. The school principal dragged out her severe “punishment” for violating its school code against immorality for six long months. It included public humiliation in front of all of her classmates and their parents. One wonders if others facing this kind of penalty would quietly choose an abortion instead. This school seems to have forgotten how Jesus Christ dealt with sin, love, and forgiveness.
He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her,“Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” John 8:7-11
